First newsletter!

So I finished my first newsletter for Wycliffe and e-mailed it out. That was something of a milestone for me. Now I know about how much work it’s going to be and hopefully it will get a bit easier with practice. Anyhow here it is!

I’m trying to figure out what books to start on next since I finished “In a Pit with a Lion on a Snowy Day” I may need to pick a couple since I’ll be flying out tomorrow to St. Louis for the wedding of Steve Jones and Marilyn Huelskamp. Unless I have very interesting and talkative people sitting next to me I’ll need a couple of books. Of course, I wouldn’t mind not getting any reading done. You can meet some really interesting people on plane rides!

I am sitting here with tears in my eyes as I contemplate the goodness of God. As I taste the sweet/saltiness of my tears, I am filled with joy unspeakable. There is not greater joy for a parent than to see their child(ren) run wholeheartedly after God. Bless you, my son, as you passionately run after God. There is no greater adventure in life. Godspeed.

    JASON ~
This is exciting ~ your call to serve JESUS in missions with Wycliffe. Your Journey to Dallas is going to be controlled by GOD, making the adventure a Divine one. Remember this in the highs and lows along the path! HIS timing is perfect, despite how it appears to us here on planet earth. Let your HOPE always be in HIM alone (Lamentations 3:21-24).
    To HIM be the glory!

This I recall to my mind, Therefore I have Hope. The LORD’s Lovingkindnesses indeed never cease, for His Compassions never fail. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness. “The LORD is my portion,” says my soul, “Therefore I have Hope in Him.”
    ~ Lamentations 3:21-24
